Short version
I don't collect your data. No analytics, no tracking, no cookies, no accounts, no fingerprinting, no third-party scripts. I don't know who you are and I have no interest in finding out.
What happens when you use a tool
- File tools (image compressor, etc.) - your file goes in, gets processed, comes back. Nothing is saved.
- URL Shortener - the URL and short code are stored so the redirect works. That's it. No info about you.
- Feedback form - what you type gets stored so I can read it. If you leave your email, that's stored too. Your browser's user agent is saved alongside.
- URL / fraud classifier - the URL you submit leaves Hubney: it's checked against external reputation services and read by an AI model, and the page itself is fetched. Hubney doesn't store it, but those external services receive it and retain it under their own policies, which may place it outside the EU.
- Lookup tools (DNS, certificate, port, email, GitHub, etc.) - the host or address you enter is sent to the relevant external service to get your result. Nothing is stored.
- Everything else - runs in your browser or processes on the server and returns the result. Nothing stored.
Cookies and local storage
Local storage holds your theme preference (dark or light). A functional antiforgery cookie is set to protect form submissions from cross-site attacks. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no session cookies.
Infrastructure
Hubney is hosted in the EU, and most tools process your data there or directly in your browser. Some tools have to reach external services to do their job: these are listed above. Only the data needed for that specific tool is sent. Once data reaches an external service it's outside Hubney's control: it may be processed or stored outside the EU and is retained under that service's own policy, not Hubney's.
Server logs
Standard server logs (IP, path, status code, timestamp) are kept for operational troubleshooting and automatically deleted after their retention period. For some tools, the value you submit (such as a URL) may also appear in these short-lived logs while a request is processed. Logs are never used for tracking or analytics.
Your rights
There's no account and I don't collect personal data, so there's nothing to delete or export. If you submitted feedback with your email and want it gone, tell me and I'll delete it.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes. I'm not going to start tracking you and bury it in an update.
